EXAIR has Intelligent Compressed Air® Tooling

I used to work for a plastic injection molding facility that also had several different types of secondary added value processes. We used compressed air in our paint rooms, assembly areas, molding room and other various processes. I don’t recall what our compressed air usage was as we had 7 total manufacturing facilities in 5 different states. I tracked our electric bills, phone bills, water bills and all of our vending billing but, I never took the time to realize the importance and cost of compressed air.

I was successful in cost reduction activity in all those ares and so proud of the accomplishments but not once did I take the time to realize what I could save with our compressed air systems and the tooling we used with compressed air. This is just one air nozzle. We used about 100 Air Nozzles, 20 paint nozzles, 50 Line Vacs and other various compressed air products. If I was able to calculate savings for all the products we used and focused on fixing air leaks in the system I would have been a real hero. Well guess what? Advantages of Adjustable Air Amplifiers

Model 6034 – 4″ Stainless Steel Adjustable Air Amplifier

EXAIR’s Air Amplifiers can be found in a many different applications around the world. The EXAIR Amplifiers solve problems as simple as blowing debris off parts to exhausting fumes. The Air Amplifier comes in two different styles either the Super Air Amplifier or the Adjustable Air Amplifier. Super Air Amplifiers come in a stock Aluminum Body with a diameter that ranges from ¾” to 8”. The Adjustable Air Amplifier comes in either type 303 Stainless Steel or Aluminum and are Sized from ¾” to 4”.

The main difference between the Super Air Amplifier and the Adjustable Air Amplifier is the fact the Super Air Amplifier has a shim inside of it that sets the gap for the air flow. Force and flow for Adjustable Air Amplifier is changed by Turing the exhaust end (knurled ring) to open or close the continuous air gap. When the desired performance has been found then the knurled ring can be tightened to lock the flow. This is great for changing environments where needs regulated to current environment.

I recently answered a phone call that a customer wanted to dry and cool production machined castings. The items were being conveyed on a wire screen mesh through a wash and this customer need more cooling and drying after the wash. This customer purchased a series of adjustable Air Amplifiers and placed them inside the conveyor successfully blowing off excess liquid and cooling the part to an acceptable level. The final results generated an improved cycle time with improved efficiency in production rates and another satisfied customer.

EXAIR has a pneumatic Heavy Duty Dry Vac that is engineered with the power to vacuum heavy materials, The Heavy Duty Dry Vac is constructed from a hardened alloy that resists abrasion from the harshest of debris, like garnet, glass, tumbling media and steel shot. This system has no moving parts which means no motors or bearings that can fail on you.

The Heavy Duty Dry Vac requires only 68 SCFM at 80 psig of compressed air to operate. Using a hardened alloy construction for the vacuum generator gives the system an increased resistance to abrasive material including sand and blasting material. Depending on your application and the volume of material you need to vacuum we provide 3 different sizes, 30-gal, 55-gal, and 110-gal.  

Our Heavy Duty Dry Vac is the perfect solution for cleaning dry media such as abrasive media, sand blasting, absorbents and gravel from your shop floors and work surfaces. The possibility of electric shock you experience with electric motors is virtually eliminated as the source of power is compressed air. The use of an anti-static hose also prevents shocks when vacuuming dry materials.
