Save $ with Chip Control

There is no value added in cleaning up chips from a machining operation. Therefore it makes no sense then to spend more labor time to clean up a workstation that has spewed shavings out onto the floor. The optimum alternative is to collect the chips as they are being generated.

Here is an example of an ingenious way one of our customers used the EXAIR Line Vac model 6081. They constructed a chamber around their drill head with an expanding boot at the bottom to seal against the drill surface. Then on the side of the chamber they welded a pipe on an angle to attach the Line Vac to.

The line vac transferred the shavings, as they were generated, into a trash collector maintaining a clean work surface and eliminating clean-up labor.
