When you make a purchase, you want to be sure that your money is being well spent. You should be confident that it meets necessary safety standards, that it is of high quality, and that it will do what you expect it to. There are many ways that we here at EXAIR like to prove our products will live up to your expectations, including our 5 Year “Built To Last” Warranty, and our 30-day unconditional guarantee on catalog product, or even with our Efficiency Lab where we will test other products’ performance against ours. Another way that we can show our reliability and dependability is through attaining CE compliance.
You may have wondered what the CE mark really means, and why it is so important. To begin with, CE comes from the French words Conformité Européenne or European conformity. A CE mark indicates conformity with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). EU Legislation requires this certification for most products that are sold in the EEA. Because of this, it has become an acceptable standard for much of the rest of the world as well, even if it only holds legal weight in Europe. This differs from other standards, like OSHA, where the burden for compliance would normally fall on the end user. With CE, the responsibility for compliance falls solely on the manufacturer. Similar to a UL Listing, if you see the CE mark, you can trust it has been tested and certified to have been made in such a way as to meet the safety & quality benchmarks specified for that type of product. In fact, even though you can obtain a self-certification for CE compliance, EXAIR has chosen to use an independent third party to certify us. We want there to be no doubt that you can trust our products.
So, when you see the small ‘CE’ symbol on our products, you can be confident that they are high quality, and that they conform to the highest standards. In other words, you can trust that your money is being well spent. At EXAIR we have gone to great lengths to be leaders in standards compliance, as indicated by our use of independent third party testing. If you have an application where only the very best will do, then give us a call.
