HOT OFF THE PRESS: EXAIR’s New Catalog 34 In-House!

At EXAIR, continuous improvement is a way of life. We pride ourselves in consistently offering a wide variety of solutions and continuously looking at ways to improve on existing product lines and expand new ones. It’s something that sets us apart from other manufacturers.

This year, EXAIR released the 34th edition of the catalog (click here to request one!). As is always the case, it’s filled with detailed information on each of our product lines. Technical specifications, product dimensions, application examples, just about everything you’ll need to determine which solution is best for you.

For this year we’ve added (3) new products that you’ll find in this edition. First is an expansion of EXAIR’s Liquid Atomizing Spray Nozzles: The 3/8 NPT HollowStream Cone Nozzle. With a single 3/8 NPT liquid connection, this nozzle offers a liquid flow rate of up to 7.28 GPM at 60 PSI liquid pressure in a hollow shaped cone pattern.

We also added to our Intellistat® Static Eliminators Product Line with the new Intellistat® Ion Air Nozzle. Similar to our Intellistat® Ion Air Gun, the Model 8505 offers the same +/- 30V offset without the need to operate the manual trigger. This new nozzle is ideal for applications that require a solution that can be benchtop mounted, providing hands-free operation and static neutralization. It’s designed with the same convenient features in the Intellistat® Ion Air Gun with the simple 6mm push-in air connection and LED lights to indicate functionality. Each comes with a compact stainless steel mounting bracket pre-mounted for quick and easy installation right out of the box.

Finally, we introduced an entirely new line of Safety Air Guns: The TurboBlast Safety Air Gun. Using EXAIR’s largest Super Air Nozzles, the TurboBlast Safety Air Gun delivers the most powerful force of any gun with a comfortable easy-to-use handle. Models are available with an adjustable gate valve that allows for easy adjustments to the air consumption and force with a simple turn of the adjustment valve. All models are available with or without the gate valve and with 1′ (included on base models), 3′, or 6′ extensions. They also come with an installed nozzle guard to protect the nozzle fins from damage should the gun ever be dropped by operators.

Look no further than EXAIR when it comes to innovative compressed air solutions. Give us a call to discuss any of our new (and existing!) product lines and learn how we can help improve your processes.

New EXAIR Product Alert: Introducing the TurboBlast Safety Air Gun

For almost 40 years now, EXAIR Corporation has been devoted to a singular goal of providing quiet, safe, and efficient compressed air products for industry. In that time, our product offering has grown considerably…and it’s just taken another leap. I offer for your consideration, dear reader, the TurboBlast Safety Air Gun:

Five different Nozzles, three different extension lengths, optional gate valves give a great deal of flexibility in our newest product line offering.

Starting at the “business end”, these use our tried-and-true High Force Super Air Nozzles. With up to 23 pounds (10.43 Kg) of applied force, these are among the hardest hitting compressed air products on the market. That’s almost 28 times the force of our standard Super Air Nozzle, and is ideal for large area cleanup, slag or flash removal, blowing off stubborn debris & liquid, etc. To protect the engineered Air Nozzle and ensure long life, we’ve included a replaceable protective guard, preventing damage from incidental contact in the aggressive applications these are aimed at. Five different Super Air Nozzles are offered:

  • 3/4 NPT (Zinc Aluminum or 316 Stainless Steel)
    • Consumes 91 SCFM @80psig
    • Applies 4.5 lbs of force @12″ from target
    • 23″ wide pattern @48″ from target
  • 1 NPT (Zinc Aluminum or 316SS)
    • Consumes 135 SCFM @80psig
    • Applies 6.6 lbs of force @12″ from target
    • 24.5″ wide pattern @48″ from target
  • Model 1116 1 NPT (Zinc Aluminum only)
    • Consumes 188 SCFM @80psig
    • Applies 9.4 lbs of force @12″ from target
    • 26″ wide pattern @48″ from target
  • Model 1118 1 NPT (Zinc Aluminum only)
    • Consumes 300 SCFM @80psig
    • Applies 15 lbs of force @12″ from target
    • 28″ wide pattern @48″ from target
  • Model 1120 1 NPT (Zinc Aluminum only)
    • Consumes 460 SCFM @80psig
    • Applies 23 lbs of force @12″ from target
    • 30″ wide pattern @48″ from target

They all come, standard, with a 1ft extension. If additional reach is desired, they can also be fitted with 3ft or 6ft rigid pipe extensions. They all have a soft, ergonomic grip, ensuring comfort during extended periods of use.

An optional Gate Valve allows for “on the fly” control of air flow & force. A simple turn of the collar adjusts the flow for a range of variable performance, as dictated by the needs of the application, much like the handheld control offered by our VariBlast Precision and Compact Safety Air Guns.

The optional Gate Valve allows the operator to precisely control the flow – and force – generated by the TurboBlast (left), similar to the adjustability offered by the VariBlast Precision (center) and Compact (right) Safety Air Guns.

The handle itself is one of the most innovative features:

  • Rugged cast aluminum construction, with an over-molded soft, yet rugged elastomer grip is physically durable, and offers superior resistance to UV rays and chemical corrosion.
  • Low profile trigger button for instant & precise control of the air flow. It’s spring operated for “Dead Man Valve” style protection, if dropped or let go of.
  • 1 NPT air inlet for easy & quick connection to a standard industrial air hose.

They are all compliant with OSHA Standard 1910.242(b) with regard to use of compressed air for cleaning purposes, and…they’re on the shelf, right now! We’re pretty excited about this newest addition to our product line. If you’d like to find out more, give me a call.

EXAIR Super Blast Safety Air Guns for Maximum Power

EXAIR offers 5 different styles of Safety Air Guns with a large variety of Safety Air Nozzles; VariBlast Precision, VariBlast Compact, Soft Grip, Heavy Duty and Super Blast.  They range from small precise blowing up to large surface cleaning.   First, the EXAIR Safety Air Guns are designed to meet OSHA standards for dead-end pressure and noise level.  Second, the engineered nozzles improve efficiency of compressed air use; saving you money.  In this blog, I will cover our largest air guns; the Super Blast Safety Air Guns.

The Super Blast Safety Air Guns are ideal for wide area blow-offs and far distances. They feature a comfortable foam grip and an auto shut-off trigger.  The trigger valve has a spring that will turn off the airflow if the gun is dropped, to prevent backlash or the hose flailing around dangerously. Aluminum extensions are available in 36″ (0.9 meters) or 72″ (1.83 meters) lengths for hard-to-reach areas.  These units use our larger Super Air Nozzles and Super Air Nozzle Clusters, providing forces levels from 3.2 lbs. (1.45 Kg) up to 23 lbs. (10.43 Kg).  Depending on which nozzle is fitted on the assembly, air inlets can range from 3/8 FNPT up to 1-1/4 FNPT.

EXAIR offers two styles of nozzles in the Super Blast family; a Super Air Nozzle Cluster and a single Super Air Nozzle.  Both are designed to entrain ambient air at a ratio near 25:1.  That means for every 1 part of compressed air, the nozzle will bring in 25 parts of free ambient air.  This will reduce the amount of compressed air required.  The ambient air will add mass to give it a hard-hitting force.  The Super Air Nozzle Cluster has an aluminum body with multiple Zinc-Aluminum Safety Air Nozzles nested.  We offer a cluster with 4 nozzles, 7 nozzles, and 12 nozzles.  The air pattern is wide to help remove debris quickly.  The air blow guns with a single Super Air Nozzle are great for a more focused force at longer distances.  EXAIR offers five different nozzle sizes to create the largest force within our Safety Air Guns at 23 lbs. (10.43Kg) at 80 PSIG (5.5 bar).  Some applications would include cleaning large CNC tables, dump trucks, walls, ceilings, and sheets of materials.

For U.S. and Canadian customers, EXAIR will be giving away a 1” Flat Super Air Nozzle with a purchase of a VariBlast Precision, VariBlast Compact, Soft Grip, Heavy Duty, and Super Blast Safety Air Gun.  EXAIR will send a model 1126 nozzle, a $50.00 complimentary gift, with a qualified purchase online until September 30th, 2021.  EXAIR also offers a 30-day unconditional guarantee on our cataloged items to try.  You can see for yourself on how effective these compressed air guns can be.  If you need help to match the best Safety Air Gun to your application, an Application Engineer will be happy to assist you.
