One of the most underrated ways that EXAIR is easy to do business with is this: all of our products are as EXTREMELY user-friendly with regard to installation, operation, and maintenance. You don’t need to contract with millwrights, pipe fitters, engineering firms, or mechanical (or electrical) contractors to install ANY of our engineered compressed air products. In most cases, you just need basic hand tools.

The part about “ease of operation” is especially true about our VariBlast Precision, and Compact Safety Air Guns. They can be adequately supplied with a standard 1/4″ or 3/8″ ID (depending on the hose length, and the Nozzle installed) compressed air hose. Rebuild Kits are on the shelf, which can restore worn trigger assemblies to ‘as new’ operation in minutes. And, the variable flow trigger means the operator has full control of the flow & force, over the entirety of the range of operation.

The VariBlast Precision Safety Air Guns are durable & lightweight. They can be fitted with any of our three smallest Super Air Nozzles: the Atto, the Pico, and the Nano, depending on the amount of flow & force, and the size of the airflow pattern you need:

Atto, Pico, and Nano Super Air Nozzles are available in corrosion resistant 316SS, or non-marring PEEK thermoplastic.

The gooseneck extension is available in 6″, 12″, and 20″ lengths. They can all be fitted with Chip Shields as well, for full compliance with OSHA Standard 1910.242(b).

Like the VariBlast Precision Safety Air Guns, the VariBlast Compact Safety Air Guns feature a variable flow trigger, giving the operator precise control over the air flow & force. Also like the Precisions, the Compacts are available with the Atto, Pico, and Nano Super Air Nozzles, and any of our other 1/8 NPT engineered Air Nozzles:

All of these can be fitted with rigid extensions from 6″ to 72″ in length, and Chip Shields.

The VariBlast Compact Safety Air Guns can also be fitted with EXAIR’s Model 1004SS Back Blow Air Nozzle, which is ideal for cleaning out small diameter tubes, pipes, channels and holes, from 1/4″ to 1″ inside diameter. These all come with Chip Shields and your choice of a 6″, 12″, 24″, or 36″ rigid extension.

Atto Back Blow Nozzles can blow out recesses or holes as small as 1/4″ in diameter.

Press Release – EXAIR’s CE Compliant VariBlast® Precision Safety Air Gun

EXAIR’s VariBlast® Precision Safety Air Guns provide a focused blast of air capable of handling tough jobs with remarkable strength. This CE compliant, lightweight air gun uses an engineered valve for variable flow.  It can produce an adjustable force on a target simply by pulling the trigger in a variety of positions.  You can generate higher or lower force as needed for an application.  

A comfortable, full-finger trigger and a convenient hanger loop are built into the Variblast Precision Safety Air Gun.  It has a ¼ NPT female compressed air inlet at the base of the handle, with an option for a BSP threaded adapter.  The VariBlast Precision Safety Air Gun is compatible with various nozzles to allow configuration for unique processes. One of the unique features are the replaceable extensions.  They come standard with a 6” (152mm) extension.  For greater reach, we offer a 12″ (305mm) or a 20″ (508mm) extension for a longer reach.  The body is made of high-impact, glass-reinforced nylon to resist breakage.  They can also be outfitted with an impact-resistant polycarbonate Chip Shield.  In combination with the EXAIR Safety Air Nozzles, the airflow that exits the nozzle can’t be blocked, ensuring safe operation and compliance with OSHA standard 1910.242(b). Also, the Precision air gun has a low noise level, only 75 dBA, which is well below the limits of the OSHA noise exposure standard, 29 CFR 1910.95(a).  EXAIR strives to manufacture safe and efficient safety air guns, and the VariBlast Precision fits that bill.

To expand on efficiency, the engineered nozzles are designed to entrain the free ambient air to add mass to the airstream.  With an amplification ratio of nearly 25:1, you only have to use a small amount of compressed air to generate a powerful, focused blast.  So, by using less compressed air, it will save you a lot of money.  EXAIR offers three different sizes in different materials.  The largest is the Nano Super Air Nozzle, which only requires 8.3 SCFM (235 SLPM) at 80 PSIG (5.5 Bar).  It is made from type 316SS or PEEK thermoplastic.  The PEEK nozzle is great for non-marring applications.  The smallest unit is our Atto Super Air Nozzle for very small holes.  It also comes in 316SS or PEEK thermoplastic.  It only uses 2.5 SCFM (71 SLPM) of compressed air at 80 PSIG (5.5 Bar).  For the “in-between” force rating, we offer the Pico Super Air Nozzle in 316SS and PEEK.  For the different combinations of model numbers, I created a VariBlast chart below.

EXAIR’s New Catalog 33 with New Products and Added Information

For those of you that have been patiently waiting for the new catalog, we have great news! Catalog 33 is now in house. The EasySwitch® Wet/Dry Vacuum (page 167 – 168 in catalog) – In our Industrial Housekeeping Products, we made an industrial vacuum to pick up both liquid and solid materials.  The patent-pending EasySwitch vacuum simplifies the filter change process when switching from a dry material application to liquid, and vice versa.  Designed to handle the toughest of industrial cleanup jobs, the EasySwitch is available with either a standard or HEPA certified filter. It easily converts from liquid/dry mode by releasing the single latch and removing the filter element. For applications where dedicated wet and dry vacuum are needed, the EasySwitch is the ideal solution; one vacuum for wet, dry, light, and heavy applications.

Liquid Atomizing Spray Nozzles (FullStream/HollowStream) (page 98 – 102 in catalog) – EXAIR’s FullStream & HollowStream Spray Nozzles require no compressed air to operate. They produce droplets by spinning the liquid and breaking its surface tension through a precision orifice or by impacting the liquid onto a surface of the nozzle. These nozzles generate higher liquid flowrates and produce a coarser pattern than the Air Atomizing Spray Nozzles.  With the higher liquid flowrates, they are ideal for quenching, cooling, washing, rinsing, sanitizing, and many other applications. 

Intellistat® Ion Air Gun™ (page 138 – 139 in catalog) – The Intellistat Ion Air Gun is a lightweight solution for static elimination operations. This intelligent product utilizes balanced ionized compressed air to neutralize static and remove particulates during clean processes, test procedures, and sensitive assembly work.  The Intelistat Ion Air Gun comes equipped with a short-throw effortless trigger and the lightweight and ergonomic frame allows extended periods of use without experiencing operator fatigue.  The ionizing gun comes complete with a 6mm air connection and tubing, red and green LED lights for feedback, a removable hook for easy storage, and a low-voltage 24 VDC power supply.  The Gen4 Static Eliminators are great tools for industrial applications, and the Intellistat Ion Air Gun is ideal for laboratories, electronics, lenses, medical, pharmaceutical, etc. type of areas. 

VariBlast® Precision Safety Air Gun (page 105 in catalog) – The VariBlast Precision Safety Air Guns are very lightweight and deliver a focused blast of air.  This product line completes our Safety Air Guns from precision small blowing to the Super Blast.  Designed with the same style of variable force trigger as the VariBlast Compact Safety Air Guns, it’s easy to adjust the flow/force from the gun simply through the trigger.  New to this style of gun is the ability to install different length extensions, chip shields, and small Safety Air Nozzles. 

Catalog 33 also added additional pages containing best practices for using compressed air products.
