Manufacturing product can be a very dirty process that can generate large amounts of biproduct, trash, and loose material that is lying around or has been spilled. EXAIR’s Vac-U-Gun System

The Vac-U-Gun system works off of the same principle of Entrainment as EXAIR’s Air Amplifiers and Line Vacs which can produce a strong suction for moving material. The removable generator located in the back of the Vac-U-Gun can be easily taken out and reoriented in order to create a strong blowing force that can be used for either blowing surfaces off or transferring material.

Wet-Dry Vacuum Converts Without Tools in 15 Seconds or Less!

In a recent video, I showcased our newest Industrial Housekeeping product, the EasySwitch Wet-Dry Vac. Throughout my years in metalworking as well as homeownership, I have honestly never used a wet-dry vacuum that is this easy to change operating modes from wet to dry or vice versa. So just how easy is it?

EasySwitch Wet-Dry Vac Mode Change Instructions

When writing out instructions on how to do this it takes a total of five steps for either direction. These five steps can easily be completed in less than 15 seconds and best of all, it is tool-free.

When changing over other wet/dry vacuums, whether it is a traditional electric vacuum like you may have at home or another pneumatic industrial vacuum on the market, the switchover process is cumbersome. There are typically fasteners or retainers that are necessary to hold the filters in place, filters can be poor quality and get damaged easily.  Small parts needed to hold filters in place like springs or retainer nuts can easily be lost, hard to manipulate and take additional time changing from liquid to dry modes or vice-versa. With the EasySwitch, the only fastener is a rubber latch that is attached to the filter hatch cover. This means operators can’t lose parts because they are all attached to the EasySwitch Lid. To convert from a dry vacuum to a wet vacuum the steps are simple.

  1. Turn off the compressed air and unlatch the rubber handle. This makes it possible to complete step two.
  2. Lift the filter hatch lid and let it rest on the hinge stop. This is all designed to be robust enough to easily support the weight of the EasySwitch unit as well as the air hose attached to it.
  3. Lift the filter, whether it is the HEPA rated filter or the standard filter, up and out of the lid.
  4. Close the filter hatch lid onto the edge gasket that stays firmly in place.
  5.  Latch the rubber handle/latch back into place and start processing liquid as needed.

That’s it, it takes less than 15 seconds in the video below (see it at 1:15) and I am pretty sure a speedcuber or cup stacker could do it even faster. Heavy Duty Pneumatic Vacuums: EXAIR’s Heavy Duty Dry Vac

Are you tired of not being able to pick up your heavier material with your current vacuum? Is your material abrasive, does it have a high bulk density? Are you tired of your electric vacuum constantly burning up its motor? EXAIR’s Heavy Duty Dry Vac system is engineered with the power to vacuum heavy materials, materials with high bulk densities. It’s material resists abrasion from the harshest of debris, like garnet, glass, tumbling media and steel shot. This system has no moving parts which means no motors or bearings that can fail on you.

The Heavy Duty Dry Vac requires only 68 SCFM at 80 psig of compressed air to operate. Using a hardened alloy construction for the vacuum generator gives the system an increased resistance to abrasive material including sand and blasting material. Depending on your application and the volume of material you need to vacuum we provide 3 different sizes, 30-gal, 55-gal, and 110-gal.  

Heavy Duty Dry Vac in operation

The design of the Heavy Duty Dry Vac allows the system to be mounted on your own drum and has a 0.1-micron filter bag installed on the center of the drum to allow air to escape and keep the material inside the drum. The enlarged size of the filter bag allows it to last longer before needing to be cleaned and/or changed out. Under the lid EXAIR has design features to aid in lowering the sound level down to only 82 dBA.

The Heavy Duty Dry Vac system comes in three different kits; these kits are the Standard, Deluxe, and Premium systems. The basic kit come with the Vacuum generator, the lid, and a lock ring to seal the lid onto your drum. The kit also includes the filter bag, 10’ Static resistant hose, and the aluminum chip wand. The basic system is everything that you need to get started with your own drum.
The Deluxe system Includes everything that the basic Heavy Duty Dry Vac system comes with but adds a few items: A magnetic tool holder, a 2-piece double bend wand, 12” floor tool, 11” crevice tool, 24” crevice tool, a skimmer tool with a detachable brush, and a 3-1/2” diameter bust brush with conductive bristles. All of the tools that come in the Deluxe system are of Aluminum construction. This system also adds the drum dolly to make it easier for you to move the system around.

If you do not have your own drum the Premium system includes everything Deluxe system does except adds a drum. Each Drum vac system comes in one of the 3 sizes listed.

EXAIR’s Huge Variety of Air Nozzles is Like an Equalizer for your Application

Many of us are familiar with what an equalizer (EQ) looks like and what it does. Unfortunately, sometimes they get a bad rap from so-called audiophiles, which in my opinion are defined individuals who spent so much money on their equipment they can’t afford to buy any music to play!  Typically, they insist that tone controls must be set to flat because the sound recording engineers mastering the music have already equalized the recording to perfection and if you need to attenuate or cut certain frequencies it is an indicator of poor-quality equipment, and that is simply is not true!

Let’s consider some of the reasons why an equalizer makes sense and, in my opinion, an absolute necessity. The objects and materials in the room will change the sound reproduction characteristics of any speaker system.  If you have large floor standing speakers positioned in the corners of the room, sitting directly on wood floors the speakers are now “acoustically coupled” with the floor and the walls.   On the other hand, if you move the speakers away from the wall and/or place them on spikes or stands (isolating them for the floor) you would have “acoustically de-coupled” the speakers from the walls and floor, which will reduce the bass or low-frequency loudness. This all affects the perceived loudness and/or quality of the music we want to listen too.

This is where the graphic equalizer shines, no need to move the speakers around or use speaker stands or spikes.  An equalizer will allow you to increase or decrease the loudness of multiple frequencies.  You can completely customize your sound to suit your tastes, overcome issues with your listening room acoustics, the speakers you are listening with or even anomalies with the music recording.

Like adjusting an equalizer to suit your room acoustics, speaker size and/or speaker frequency response, EXAIR understands that the need for many different options gives you the necessary adjustments for a successful application.  A few sizes of Air Nozzle, Air Jet or High Force Air Nozzles will not solve every application with the highest efficiency or effectiveness.  EXAIR’s air nozzle variety allows you to produce maximum effectiveness based upon the air pressure and air volume you have available.  Whether you need a strong blast or a gentle breeze, if you have tricky mounting positions or remote applications, EXAIR has the largest selection to choose from and solve your production problem.

We clearly state compressed air volume requirements in SCFM (Standard Cubic Feet per Minute) at a given operating pressure in PSI (Pounds per Square Inch), force at 12” from the compressed air outlet and the sound loudness in dBA at 3′ from the nozzle. These details provide the starting point for selecting the best air nozzle.
